This month marks the Society's Fiftieth Birthday, no small thing. And what better way to celebrate than to have a birthday party!
Please join us Monday, February 18, at 7 PM at the Community Room at Farmer's Bank to mark this important milestone. There will be birthday refreshments (of course!). Our guest speaker will be former Mayor and Society member Ken Edwards who will be enlightening us on the subject of Judge Alfred Burton Greenwood, the prominent citizen for whom our city is named. What better topic for this occasion?
Members and visitors will be entertained by Dorothy Nixon and her Dulcimer Darlings, playing the popular tunes of Judge Greenwood's era.
Membership applications will be available for those wishing to renew or establish membership. Annual dues are $15 for an individual and $25 for a family. Members are entitled to a copy of the Society’s annual publication, The Key. Meetings are held the third Monday of each month at 7 PM in the Community Room of Farmer’s Bank, 71 West Center Street in Greenwood. Each meeting features a guest speaker presenting a topic of interest to residents of Sebastian County. All are welcome.
Directions from Fort Smith: 71 South to 10 Spur (Greenwood exit). East (left) on 10/Center Street. Farmer's Bank is just east of the first traffic light at 71 West Center Street, Greenwood, AR.
