Airing of the Quilts

After the long winter, pioneer women "aired" their cherished quilts in the spring sunshine. The tradition continues as antique and contemporary quilts are "aired" at historic sites in Greenwood, May 15, 9 am- 5 pm. This event, sponsored by the Alpha Delta Chapter ESA, benefits the South Sebastian County Historical Society.

Quilts will be displayed at historic locations in Greenwood- Harper House, the Presbyterian Church, and the historic district surrounding the Old Jail Museum Complex. The tour will culminate at city hall. A quilt will be awarded to a lucky winner.

We invite you to come out and see the beautiful quilts displayed in the picturesque settings of the Old Jail, Vineyard Cabin, Old Barn and Redwine Schoolhouse here at our complex. Admission is $5. Tickets are available at the door. For more information, contact Kay Voss at 479-883-0254 or Joyce Cormack at 479-996-4474.
